In three days time, the highly anticipated Smash bros. Brawl will be out. It already has more preorders than Halo 3 has sold, so it's going to be big. There are parties for the game at Game Stop and Game Crazy. In both of them, you can get prizes and there are tournaments. The game will go on sale at 12:01 am.
The Best Games in History
Today we will look at the best games in history:
10. Super Mario 64
This game was probably one of the first games to truly nail 3D. It had one of the best variates of levels in gaming history, from volcanoes to little places underwater. This game had a great control scheme and also a really good camera. All backed up by great graphics and music. You can get the game for the DS for $35, or on the Wii shop channel for $10.
9. Super Smash Bros. Melee
People say that a game with a rating of a true ten should have people playing it over and over again. That is this game. It came out in 2001, boasting a wide range of characters and stages. It had great graphics too for the gamecube. It is still the top seller for the gamecube and people bought the gamecube just so they could play this game with their friends. The original Super Smash Bros. was sort of a downfall, but this one was deffinately not. You can get it for $35 at prettty much any store.
8. Resident Evil 4
This game had such good graphics that it made the gamecube look like an Xbox. The game went away from just Zombies to shooting villagers with pitchforks and torches. This game could truely scare people, something that no other game has done. Plus, the control scheme was really good. You can get the game for $20 on gamecube or $30 on Wii.
7. Halo
This game was a real revolution in terms First Person Shooters (FPS). The revolutionary recharging health bar is copied more times than Mario and Zelda. And people didn't buy this game just to play the great one player, but they got it to play with their friends and online. People would bring their Xboxs' to each others houses and have LAN Parties. You can get this game for $20 for the computer or Xbox
6. Halo 3
In most Cases, a Sequel will not be better than its predecessor , but that is not true with this game. This game is by far the best game in the Halo trilogy. It was the second most anticipated game of 2007 until Brawl got delayed, then it was first. People wanted this game so much that they put it on preorder three years before it came out. Also, the new map editor makes multiplayer a whole new experiance. You can get it for $60 everywhere.
5. Metriod Prime 3 Corruption
As with Halo 3, this sequel is better than the original. Metroid Prime 3 has amazing graphics for the Wii and also a very extensive single player. The game was the first game in Nintendo Power history to get a perfect 10. People complained that the game didn't have a multiplayer, but after just one boss battle, their complaining stopped. This game is also the first game on Wii to get the shooting control scheme right. You can get it for $50 everywhere.
4. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
This game is easily the second best game in the Legend of Zelda series. From it's amazing graphics, to its epic boss battles, to its great storyline, it's no wonder how this game got fourth. Although slightly easier than its predisesors, this game still incorperates difficult puzzles and situations. The game seems to have very good music too. Another aspect that made this game number 4 is the fact that it has almost no loading times. You can find this great game anywhere for $50.
3. Final Fantasy VII
What really made this game was its storyline. This game has one of the best story lines in videogame history. It had beautiful climatic cut scenes (for the PSX), great graphics, and overall just fun to play. This game even had an on screen death that drove some players to tears. If a game can do that, it deserves to be on the list. You can find this game online for about $200 for the PSX (Playstation 1)
2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Changing Zelda from 2D to 3D was a huge jump for Nintendo. Nintendo went beyond having 3D characters and sprites for everything else (like most games were at the time), and put you in a fully rendered, 3D Zelda world. The game controlled great, looked great, had a great storyline, and introduced automatic jumping, which is reused too many times to count. You can find it on the Wii shop Channel for $10, or online for the n64 for about $150
1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Hopefullly)
We don't know the most about this game, but from what it seams, this is probably goning to be the best game ever. Super Smash bros. was already considered to be the best fighting game ever, which is obvious by playing the game, was the most anticipated game for 2007, and now 2008. Out of the about 20 million Wii owners, 16 million have the game on hold. That's a lot of people. The game will boast many new features, too many to count. You can find out about it here. The game will be $50 for Wii.
